Anne Moir is offering one on one voice lessons in bel canto to members and supporters of NCT. Learn what classical singers have known since the 1600’s. Develop a powerful, bell-like sound that fills the room.

If your goal is to sing on the theater stage or professionally, you need a strong, sustainable method that will allow you to sing at or near your capacity for 6 shows a week.  Classical singers use a method called bel canto to get that bell like tone while being able to fill a large hall with sound. The method is designed to unload stress in the larynx, and essentially turns you into a giant wind instrument.

The process is very physical, like gymnastics or dance. The student is taught how to use their whole body to make sound, in a manner very different from how we speak.

Anyone can learn how to do this, and the result is a method of singing you can use all life long for any style of music. Musical theater, rock, R&B, folk.. I even have students using it for singing metal and punk.  It is ideal for busking and live performance.
